Dr. David M. McGee- DVM

Veterinarian – Practice Owner

Dr. McGee earned both his undergraduate and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degrees from Mississippi State University. Following his graduation (“Hail State!”), Dr. McGee joined the practice and has been a valued member  of our team ever since. In 1994, Dr. McGee and his wife, Annette, proudly became the owners of Corinth Animal Care Center, and they have been committed to providing compassionate veterinary care to the animals of Corinth and the surrounding areas for over 30 years. Outside of the clinic, Dr. McGee is actively involved with the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine alumni foundation, and acts as a mentor for veterinary students at MSU. Outside of work he enjoys traveling with his family, spending time riding his horses, and squirrel hunting with his dogs.

Dr. Julia Vanderford- DVM

Veterinarian

“Dr. V” as most call her, grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Cody, Wyoming. She attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She then attended Washington State University School of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and Professional Certificate in Global Animal Health. During her veterinary studies, Dr. Vanderford conducted impactful research focused on improving calving rates in Zebu cattle in Kenya, Africa, showcasing her passion to animal health on a global scale. After veterinary school her husband was ready to return to his hometown, so they returned to Corinth. While initially practicing mixed animal medicine, she now focuses primarily on providing exceptional care for small animals at Corinth Animal Care Center, where she has been a valued member of our team since January 2019.  Outside of the clinic Dr. V enjoys traveling with her husband, two daughters, and hosting game nights. She also enjoys time with her dogs Aspen, Atlas, and cat Ranger. In fact, her friendly dog Aspen often serves as the unofficial and beloved greeter at Corinth Animal Care Center, warmly welcoming everyone who walks through our doors.

Annette McGee -BS, MBA

Practice Manager and Owner

Meet Annette McGee, the dedicated and experienced practice manager and co-owner of Corinth Animal Care Center in Corinth, Mississippi. Annette has been an integral part of our practice since 1994, when she and her husband, Dr. McGee, took ownership. While Dr. McGee focuses on the medical care of your beloved pets, Annette expertly manages the day-to-day operations of Corinth Animal Care Center, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for both you and your animal companions. With over 30 years of commitment to the Corinth community and its pets, Annette’s passion for animal well-being extends beyond the administrative aspects of the clinic. Her leadership and dedication have been instrumental in fostering the warm and caring environment that defines Corinth Animal Care Center. She works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our team can provide the highest quality of care and that our clients feel supported and informed. 

When they’re not at the clinic, Annette and Dr. McGee proudly share their Mississippi roots and a love for Mississippi State University, often cheering on the MSU Bulldogs with their son Mathis at games. 

Tiffany Barton

Receptionist

Tiffany Barton has been working at Corinth Animal Care Center as our friendly, dedicated receptionist since November of 2016. She is certified in medical and business office assisting through Northeast Community College. Her dog, Charlie, is often the first to greet you at the front desk, usually announcing your arrival with his unmistakable bark. Outside of her loyalty to our animal patients, Tiffany enjoys baking and spending quality time with her husband, daughter, and Charlie.

Dani Inman

Veterinary Technician

Dani has been a dedicated and skilled member of our team ever since joining us at Corinth Animal Care Center. Dani loves ensuring the highest level of care for your beloved animals, large or small. Outside of her commitment to our patients, Dani enjoys spending quality time outdoors with her horses and MANY dogs and cats.

Brianna Grimes

Veterinary Technician

Brianna joined our team in 2024, bringing several years of experience in the veterinary field and a genuine passion for caring for animals. She is always ready to greet our clients with a warm smile and brings a joyful presence to our clinic. Brianna treats every patient as if they were her own, taking the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout their visit and treatment. Outside of work, she enjoys reading and spending time with her two sweet boys, Caleb and Ashton, and her beloved senior dog, Daisy.

Savannah Burube

Veterinary Technician

Savannah actually began her career in cosmetology before following her passion for animal care into veterinary medicine. As a veterinary technician, she brings a unique blend of attention to detail, compassion, and dedication to every patient. She is committed to making pets and their families feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in their veterinary care.

Briant Nhek -BS

Veterinary Technician

Wildlife Fisheries and Aqua Culture

Corinth Animal Care Center had Briant join our team in August 2025. Briant earned his Bachelor’s of Science from Mississippi State in Wildlife Fisheries and Aqua culture. He plans to attend veterinary school soon where he aspires to work in the wildlife side of veterinary medicine. Outside of work, Briant enjoys playing volleyball and watching football.

Amy Sims -BS

Receptionist

Amy Sims is a Prentiss County native that has lived in Corinth over 20 years. She has been working for Corinth Animal Care Center since November of 2007.

Prior to her work in the veterinary field, Amy earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Mississippi and worked in the newspaper business about a decade. She was called toward the animal care field which led her to Corinth Animal Care Center where she has served as the kennel manager for over 11 years and now has moved to the front desk. She also has a love of photography, especially when the subjects are her two precious fur babies at home: Prince and Frances.

Baron Spence

Kennel Tech 

Baron began working with Corinth Animal Care Center in 2024. He comes with many years of experience working with pets of all sizes. He helps keep our boarding pets comfortable and makes sure that they are all clean and smelling good when they go home. When he is not at work he enjoys spending time working on old cars and spending time with his wife and kids.

Shoney Smith

Kennel Tech Volunteer

Shoney has been helping us at CACC since 2022. She brings her background in law enforcement to veterinary medicine, along with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine heart for helping others. She’s traded badges for stethoscopes, but her dedication to caring for others remains the same. She’s right at home helping our patients stay healthy, happy, and out of trouble.

Christy Davis

Receptionist 

Christy Davis has been with us at Corinth Animal Care Center since July of 2020. You will often see her smiling face up front as you walk in. She enjoys creating a welcoming environment for clients and helping however she can. She enjoys spending time with her husband, and especially spoiling her grandbabies.  

Ella Tucker

Veterinary Technician

Ella has been helping around CACC for many years now. She is attending MSU for veterinary science and plans to become a veterinarian one day. Around the clinic Ella enjoys working both in treatment and in the kennel area. Her compassion and sweet demeanor make her such a wonderful addition to our team and we are grateful to have her when she’s not studying at MSU.

Macy Hall

Veterinary Technician

Macy joined our team in 2023 and helps keep the kennel running smooth. She stays busy at school with dance and color guard but finds sometime for us to help us keep your fur babies clean and comfortable during their stay at the clinic. Her jovial temperament makes her a treasured addition to our team. She attends Mississippi State and is on her way to becoming a licensed veterinary technologist.
